1948 Chevrolet

Trust me. They don’t make them like that anymore.
Brush pen in Moleskine notebook.

  1. I love the texture of the finish on the cars. How do you get this texture?

  2. Tim, If you really want to follow my sketches, you need to track me on Flickr. I post a new drawing every day. And my images are organized into groups with better tags. There's an album of all my vehicles together. https://www.flickr.com/photos/36106576@N05/albums/72157622922898296

Flickr also lets you zoom in. Just click on an image for more detail. You'll see that my textures are just stippling with short strokes. First in one direction and then over again at a different angle. Different tones are produced by varying the spacing of the strokes and alterning their weigh. I prefer to draw with brush pens but I switch to pens and other instruments for variety.
PS You can also find some products based on my drawings at www.calamityware.com.

    1. Thanks Don, I'll checkout Flickr over the weekend.
